Busy Hematology oncology office needs full time receptionist/patient navigator and call center personnel. Location: Freehold office
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our office is committed to providing compassionate, efficient, and effective medical care to our patients in a friendly and pleasant setting. We are looking for a friendly, caring, knowledgeable, detailed-oriented, dependable, and flexible individual who has the ability to adapt to a face-paced, ever-changing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets all incoming patients in a cordial, friendly, and prompt manner
Answer multiple line telephone system in prompt and courteous manner
Schedule appointments
Verify patient demographic and insurance information
Collects co-pays and outstanding bills
Authorizations
Filing
Obtain insurance pre-certifications and referrals
Maintaining patient charts
Obtaining & uploading medical records
Taking messages
Obtain insurance pre-certifications and referrals
Filling out disability paperwork
Review and handle all messages faxed to the office by the Answering Service
Route clinical questions and emergency calls to nursing staff or physician.
Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
Effectively cope with typical job stress in a professional, calm manner
Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all time
Ordering supplies
Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior medical receptionist experience, preferably in a Heme/Onc setting. Ability to do authorizations, schedule scans etc knowledge of health insurance plans and referrals
Computer/EMR knowledge is a plus
